The San Diego Ultra Slam is composed of the following San Diego ultra events: the Noble Canyon 50k, PCT50 or ABC50, Cuyamaca 100k and SD100. To be eligible for recognition, participants must complete each distance - 50k, 50 mile, 100k, and 100 mile - within a respective 12-month period. However, you may choose whichever race you wish to start with; each race offers a different distance and distinct challenge to the participant, and running all distances within a 12-month period represents a significant achievement!

RULES & GUIDELINES:

The San Diego Ultra Slam is intended to recognize individuals who were able to successfully complete a 50k, 50 mile, 100k, and 100 mile ultra-distance trail race all within a 12 month period. Since all the events that comprise the San Diego Ultra Slam usually fill to limit, those who are interested in attempting the Ultra Slam need to sign up for each of the events when the races first open registration. Current SURF Members receive either a registration discount or early entry to these races - be sure to login and check the Member Benefits page for details!

ENTRY:

Anyone may participate. If you would like to join the challenge, you may declare your intention to do so by emailing admin@sdultrarunning.com, subject line San Diego Ultra Slam with the race you intend to start with and which 50 miler you want to declare. You'll then need to ensure you register for each event separately using the links above.

NOTE: Starting in 2026, runners may choose either PCT50 or ABC50 as their 50-mile race for the San Diego Ultra Slam. You must declare which race you intend to use when you submit your San Diego Ultra Slam entry.

FINISHERS: Upon completion of the San Diego Ultra Slam, SURF will send an email to congratulate you and get your sizing and shipping information for your San Diego Ultra Slam jacket! We will also celebrate you via SURF socials and the SURF newsletter.
